Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
While Lotus is a fantastic audio player, navigating long audio tracks like podcasts and audiobooks is currently difficult. Standard progress sliders make it hard to finely adjust playback positions in a 1-to-2-hour file, meaning a small finger slip can accidentally skip 15 minutes of content.
Describe the solution you'd like
To make Lotus an excellent player for spoken-word audio, I would love to see the following quality-of-life features added:
- Custom Skip Intervals (±5 Seconds): Dedicated forward and backward jump buttons on the main player screen (separate from track skipping) for quick rewind/fast-forward capabilities.
- Bookmarking System: The ability to manually save a specific timestamp on an audio file so users can easily jump back to important chapters or quotes later.
- Smart Resume Playback: Automatically remembering the exact last-played position of long audio tracks so users don't lose their place when returning to an audiobook or podcast.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Using standard media controls, but they lack the fine-tuned precision needed for hours-long episodic or book content.
Additional context
Many users (myself included) rely heavily on using audio players for books and podcasts alongside music. Adding these precision playback tools would significantly expand Lotus's versatility for anyone listening to long-form audio.
