When adapting MTU to max size next run of tool will show lower max size

Steps to reproduce:

• Run the tool
• Configure the MaxMTU size like tool said
• Run the tool
• -> MaxMTU will be lower

Expectation would be to have the same size determined?

But I'm not confident that this should be the case - but I would assume it.
