Mine was 50% priced and in the box says production date is 11-2023, model 07G

Global models are usually not working, at least the ones that we saw with Google.

From now I will not tinker much with the speaker, I won't upgrade firmware or connect it to Internet so it calls "home", and only using it as a bluetooth speaker.

it is not very practical though, because they provide it without any easy way to connect like micro-usb or similar system. Probably soldering pins is mandatory to do something if not having an already crafted firmware.
