I want to use EMF DiffMerge to compare the current revision of an ecore model against a revision from an older commit. Whenever I select an ecore file and use the Compare with Commit option, eclipse presents me the synchronization view. From the synchronize explorer I select my ecore file and execute 'open in compare editor'
I assumed to be able to open the emf diffmerge compare editor in the menu shown below:
However, emf diffmerge is not present.
By accident I tried to do the same for a very large model. The model was that large that eclipse mentioned 'computing differences'. During that time, I was able to find the diffmerge compare editor at the assumed location. However, after computation of the differences finished, I was not able to get it back.
My setup:
- Eclipse Modeling Tools (includes Incubating components)
- Version: 2025-09 (4.37.0)
- Build id: 20250905-1456
- EMF Diff/Merge Plug-In (Incubation) 0.15.0.202305040742
- EMF Diff/Merge Git Connector Plug-In (Incubation) 0.15.0.202305040742
