only WAM(WebAppMode) from desktop shortcut?

sometimes I need to view the website in a regular tab, is it possible to do the WAM from desktop shortcuts only?

Sure, you can edit your desktop shortcut URL to match the filter. For example:

Match pattern:

1. https://www.google.com/*&WAM=true (match for google)
2. https://*&WAM=true (match all url end with &WAM=true )
3. https://*?WAM=true (match all url end with ?WAM=true )

Desktop shortcut URL: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl&WAM=true (match the pattern 1 & 2 )
Desktop shortcut URL: https://www.amazon.com/?WAM=true (match the pattern 3)

(Add a url token to distinguish between shortcut and normal tab, here we use WAM=true )

When you open the website in a normal tab, for example: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl
that don't match the pattern, it will keep in normal tab.

No, for some reason:

1. My other extension also use Popup Window API, for example: MaximizeVideo
2. Not everyone needs this feature( auto popup window by URL ), if I need more features, I prefer to install additional extension instead of install a fat extension that includes all features.
3. I split features into multiple extension to keep these extensions have minimum permission and resource requirements.

I've realized that desktop shortcut MUST contain the exact URL (with ?WAM=true for example) which the web has after all redirections. It means that you will end up for example with https://www.netflix.com/browse?WAM=true because https://www.netflix.com/?WAM=true didn't work for me.

Would you please give a detailed example for the same setup above, a 'desktop shortcut' that opens up directly a 'web app page' without the browser; for this one

@ettoolong Can you please add https://*WAM=true to the default setting (which you get when installing the extension the first time)?

This way the extension could document "it also allows you to create bookmarks or desktop URLs that will always open a site in WebAppMode by just adding WAM=true to the URL parameters (prefixed by ? if there isn't one in the URL, prefixed by & if there's already a ?).
