While using the sidebar navigation, I noticed that top-level sections such as Docs, API, and Resources are visually highlighted only when the current page belongs to that section. However, when a user clicks a different top-level section to expand its submenu, there is no visual indication that the newly clicked section is the one currently expanded. The previously active section remains highlighted.

As a new user, I found this slightly confusing because the expanded submenu appears without a clear visual association to its parent section. I could infer it from the submenu contents, but I wasn't always immediately sure whether I had opened Docs, API, or Resources.
I'm opening this issue mainly to understand whether this behavior to discuss whether additional visual feedback for expanded sections would improve navigation clarity.
