Input upload API endpoint crashes

The most likely reason for these appears to be the python-java bridge(?)
Also, this problems only seems to occur when using webkit based browsers (safari, chromium so far); no crashes with firefox so far.

I can also reproduce the issue with Firefox4, so it's not browser related.

I mean it's at least consistent.
