Find and Replace function is dangerous

The 'Replace in Multiple Nodes' function can accidentally ruin your entire document. I thought that I was in the regular search function and instead it deleted every single instance of the word 'adult' in a 600 page document.

There is no way to undo this and it is saved automatically. :(

Can you add a global undo function? Thank you.

Don't you see back up fils with tilde ~ preceding .. but might be too late .. look at your fie location hidden files .. there MIGHT be a backup

It's too late. Also those tilde files don't appear on my device for some reason

I think that the developer should tweak it so that this mixup doesn't happen. Both buttons are in the same dropdown, and they both look identical. The editors also look the same.

The tilde files only appear if you enable "view hidden files" in your file editor. Try that now. It might be wise after the event to have another regular backup system other than the tool backup which could soon roll down in time anyway, losing your files. Perhaps a script to backup the hidden files into another push down stack with a life of a month. In Ubuntu there is the app TimeShift which does that.
