default gov doc index? #11

Liza: Also, I’ve been wondering if there is any good ‘default index’ for government documents, and I came across the Federal Register API (and R wrapper for it already). Do you think that path is worth going down? It would be cool to have a default openAlex + default government index as a base, then allow users to build on those… but I don’t know if the federal register is just too massive and not worth going through. Or maybe we could have a similar querying by agency kind of approach as with concepts…
