What's new

Added:

• New Advanced panel to move less-used options out of the main Settings panel;
• New Band Count setting;
• New Radial Size setting;
• New compact analyzer layout for watching videos and/or subtitles;
• Support for 5.1 surround audio output can now be enabled if your system supports it –

Changed & improved:

• User interface overhaul with increased font sizes and more consistent look among panels, buttons and other controls;
• The Analyzer Mode selection has been streamlined into three options: Bars (formerly band modes), FFT (formerly Discrete Frequencies) and Graph (consolidates former Area and Line modes);
• PEAKS and FADE switches have been combined into the new Peaks setting;
• SCALEX and NOTES switches have been combined into the new X-Axis Labels setting;
• SCALEY switch is now Y-Axis Labels;
• LINEAR and ANSI switches have been moved to the Advanced panel, as Level Scale and Octave Bands settings, respectively;
• Added a button to expand/collapse the front panel (the panel no longer auto-expands when moving the mouse near the bottom of the screen);
• Improved hover detection and increased the delay for auto-collapsing the front panel on analyzer hover; this feature is now disabled by default;
• Improved detection and loading of subtitle files;
• Files that fail loading/playing are now flagged in red color in the play queue;
• Increased the default maximum number of media files listed in the Background setting from 20 to 100;
• FFT Size and FFT Smoothing have been moved from the general settings configuration to Advanced Panel settings;
• Gradients and saved playlists are now listed in alphabetical order in their selection boxes;
• New default settings:
  • Background: album cover;
  • Bar Spacing: 20%;
  • Background Dim: 0.3;
  • Level Scale: Linear;
  • Line Width: 1;
  • Radial Size: 0.5;

Fixed:

• Loading of folder cover images, broken in v24.6 (reported by @JesusGod-Pope666-Info);
• OSD font size not being saved;
• pixelRatio not correctly reported on console when toggling low-resolution mode;
• Spurious folder entries in the file explorer when accessing web server media (reported by @JesusGod-Pope666-Info).

Removed:

• Balance control;
• mediaPanel URL parameter has been deprecated - use frontPanel instead;
• Custom file server module (just use npm start);
• Code from the unfinished Electron version;
• Support for legacy playlists.cfg file.

Anyway have some issues with it loading the new version, it still seems to take the older version. Had to get Firefox to see the new version and get it loaded. There was something about cleaning out all the stuff, but my brain can not remember and all that. The typical nonsense of our days.

I have become homeless, kicked out for solar panels and all my stuff pretty much gone. So I do not know how active I will be¸sitting at the Library at the moment trying to get things done. At least it has open from 9 to 20:00 so.... I should be able to work on some stuff. But sure is not making things easier living and sleeping in a Tuk Tuk at the moment which I bought.

Not much for humanity, solar panels are much more important crime - had to throw me out for it and the destruction of all my stuff, clothing, books, papers and all that. This nation is full of depravity, but I guess not the only one. It was more important to throw me out for some Solar Panels, then accept it when I took them down.

Anyway.... I have my laptop and my digital data for the most part - and my website is still running.
bought a new domain, to see if I can get the new design up and running - and I really wanted to make my own build version and see if I could make it with the settings and color themes and all..... Anyway, lots of things happening. Take care over at your place. We are getting closer to the Beast system each and every day.

Now that I am Homeless living in a Tuk Tuk - I really could wish for Mobile mode for the aM media player laying here in the scooter. But I know it is not going to be easy to do. Maybe one could take away the playlist and just use the file manager, that could take away one window to save space, or..... Do something smart..... I do not think it will be easy, but it should be possible. It is running on my mobile but it does not look good and hard to navigate.

Finally got the 2 Menu working yesterday or so, and today I got the 3 menu half working, at least it shows up now - but not at the intended location yet. But I can at least toy around with the links and menu's now. aM at the top of the Media menu :) I'll fix around with things as time goes - wanna make my own aM version with my settings but still have not gotten around to do that yet.

Still homeless, living in a Tuk Tuk - it is kinda cold, and it is only going to get worse. They took all my possessions beside my website pretty much. Evil wicked world, for some Solar Panels, just insane driving someone out and destroying everything someone have for a lifetime.

Anyway.... Nearly closing time on the library, some 50 minutes left. I got a little further at least but I really wanna make my own aM version with my personally settings and all, that could so cool :)

Any way to boost the sound beyond 100% ?
Yea I guess I need to look into pushing the audio in the files I have for higher volume. That might help somewhat, but another project in itself.

Although I boosted the audio the first time I made AV1, but did not do it when I remade the AV1 as I was less sure if the reencoding of the sounds files was good or not.

Was testing, is testing different USB keys.... I think the overall winner will be Sandisk USB C and A in one. Sandisk does seem to have made it able to get access to them on Android if you have their application. Although just rubbish you even need an application for such a thing - you should be able to easily move files through USB, but we live in this stinking world of evil and madness where default features is not allowed to be default any longer.

Although Sandisk on Android does not allow NTFS, it will not see it, so the drive has to be Exfat or Fat32. I usually used NTFS, but I guess I will have to go back on that to exFat, if I want to move files over the USB keys. It is not as fast and small as the Samsung, but fast enough I guess, and the Samsung of cause needs an adapter for USB C, and it only does 512GB whereas the Sandisk does up to 1TB. Here is a picture of it, if you need something, seems fast enough for portable Applications and rather small as well, slim for mobile usage as well. So.... I think it will be the winner if you look for something - BUT DO NOT GET THE PLASTIC OF THEM, they are just terrible in speed, you need the metal one!!!!

Like price point, USB A-C, physical size, Storage and all taken into consideration, I think this is the overall winner.

Size, rather small - speed is good enough for portable Apps for sure - 1TB max storage - USB A and C in one - have place to put in keys, feels sturdy quality enough, price point is good as well.
Faster then the old generation Sandisk SSD USB 128GB.

Like compared to the new Sandisk SSD I Got 2TB - like that is so much bigger then this little guy and was a lot more expensive. This little USB key in itself one should do the job overall, no need to go pricy I think. I was just testing different USB storage keys.

BUT AGAIN, DO NOT GET THE PLASTIC VERSIONS OF THIS, THEY UTTERLY SUCKS!!!!
