Make a hyperlight website

We should host a website for the hyperlight project

Would be nice to have the Hyperlight documentation there. Maybe we could use mdbook for the docs if there are not any better suggestions

Hi all, I'd be happy to chip in and help--I'm a newer webdev but have a keen interest for Rust and Wasm. Last year I went to Open Source Summit and my biggest takeaway was that Wasm is lowkey a big deal! So it'd be nice to get involved any way I can and get more exposure to this space.

For docs mdBook is used a lot, especially is Rust heavy areas--see Wasmtime as one example of many. In the web space I know there are plenty of options, too, but VitePress is popular and has a lot of benefits.

The biggest difference between an mdBook and VitePress or the like is versioning. Search, dark mode and all that seem comparable otherwise, so maybe make the call based on how important it is to have access to versioned docs.

Then there's deciding whether or not to have docs be a subdomain or simply a route on the main site. Pros and cons there as well.

First off, thank you so much for expressing interested, @garikAsplund. We'd love to work with you on a contribution!

TBH, I'm not a huge fan of mdbook. It works, but some of the rendering, styling, and assumptions built into the tool are restrictive. I'm up for using VitePress. Based on the docs, it looks closer to what I'd expect out of a docs static site generator. Folks, please speak up if you disagree.

I like the versioned aspect of the docs with VitePress. The themes and styling look flexible and clean out of the box.

I think we'd likely host GH pages with the root of https://hyperlight-dev.org (I'm pretty sure that's the domain we have...).

Excellent! I went ahead and threw this together as a rough draft. Admittedly I used Sveltepress only because I'm most familiar with Svelte and it seemed like a good project that is 95% there but might need some contributions as well.

I'm open to feedback and input! One thing that I think would be helpful to have either on the landing page or in a blog post/docs page is how Hyperlight is differentiated from other microVMMs:

• MicroV
