Tests 404!

I don't currently see any tests in the codebase. I would suggest that tests (unit/functional/integration) are added, as this would also ensure that new contributions can be safely merged, to avoid/minimise possible breaking changes.

@takwas thank you so much for pointing this out. I have added it to my TODO list. I knew it was something I should do but was thinking of the best way to go about it.

I got the nudge when your message came in. So, in the next push, there will be tests added.
