I realize you probably did it this way for expediency, but generally bad form to hit the user with permissions requests right when they open your app.

Also, you should offer a reason for the permission. At least in the alert popup, but ideally also in whatever action proceeds the popup.

You can add a string to the Info.plist that gives the user more information in this alert.
