Browsers currently have very limited support for font-style and variable fonts.

So, the example of Inter with font-style doesn't work for me, on any current stable browser release. Therefore, I feel it should probably be changed to reflect that state of things, or it may appear that the site of font is broken to users, and they might be confused if they try to use that technique themselves.
