Ring authentication fails in ST iOS when adding SmartApp - missing 2FA prompt #17

<update 1/3/22 - got it working without authentication, all good!>
Ring Device Manager in Automations/SmartApps on iPhone shows "setup not complete." Selecting Ring SmartApp takes me through account linking but fails to authenticate.
Have confirmed through web and Ring app that I am using correct credentials, and Ring was already successfully linked through Add Device (how I discovered I needed your SmartApp!). In this "official" authentication process I am prompted for the Ring 2FA code.
Tried without luck:
- Deleted the official account link and tried to add the SmartApp - still failed, no 2FA prompt
- re-established Ring account link through Add Device as before, hoping that would automatically complete setup on the SmartApp (it didn't) or that I could now manually add it (still failed, no 2FA prompt)
- tried my ST/Samsung web app and GitHub credentials (longshot, no luck)
