Game translation.

I would like to translate the game into my language, but no I have not found anything that could help me do that. Can you make the text editable?

The redub mod implements rudimentary text editing, if you look at any of the scenario_.c files you can see the bytecode of the text format. redub.c implements the hook that overrides the message IDs.

Because editing the raw bytecode is pretty cumbersome it would make sense to create a tool of sorts that lets you compile a more easily readable format into that bytecode so I'm planning to look into this in the future.

The raw script of the game was already dumped by the mn64rando tool, if you have a copy of the ROM and then run the command python randomizer.py mn64.z64 export.norandom 0 it will dump all of the scenarios from the ROM into a text file.

Related to this, ilare there any plans to support the translations the game already has?
I'd like to play the game in Japanese but I don't see anything on the main page about multi language support. I know the Japanese dub is available, but I'd like to play with Japanese text as well! Thank you!

It would be kind of a big undertaking to shoehorn the Japanese text into the English version, but I'll see what I can do.
