Title: [Bug] "Opportunities interested in" checkboxes incorrectly enforced as mandatory
Describe the bug
On the job application page, the "What best describes the type of opportunities you're interested in" section has checkboxes (iOS, Cloud Infrastructure, Android, Machine Learning, etc.) that appear to be enforced as required fields. When trying to proceed without ticking certain boxes, a validation tooltip pops up saying "Please tick this box if you want to proceed."
This doesn't make sense for a multi-select preference field — applicants should be able to select only the areas they're genuinely interested in without being forced to tick boxes that don't apply to them.
To Reproduce
- Go to a Lever-hosted job application page (e.g., Match Group careers)
- Scroll to the "What best describes the type of opportunities you're interested in" section
- Select only some checkboxes (not all)
- Try to submit the form
- Observe the mandatory validation error on unchecked boxes
Expected behavior
These checkboxes should be optional — applicants pick the ones relevant to them. If at least one selection is required, the validation should check that at least one box is ticked, not enforce individual checkboxes.
Screenshots
(attached screenshot showing the tooltip error on the iOS checkbox)
Environment
- Browser: Chrome (latest)
- OS: macOS
- Page:
