Current status of the APP, please?

It is still not available on the PlayStore. Whats the current status as of 22.12.2025 ?
Is someone working on it as Android starts complaining about data security etc.

Is there an alternative someone can recommend in case it is discontinued?

(Could that be my first open source project to make it Version 4.)?

What exactly is android complaining about? Because the popup when installing it from outside the Play Store is added by google for anything outside Play Store, no matter what it actually does, because google want's everyone to be afraid of anything outside their ecosystem in order to make a nice walled garden for themselves.

I have tried a few alternatives, but none are as simply complete as this one. Not sure what ligi's plan is for this, but if there are enough significant pull requests without a response, somebody could fork this to continue development.
