Running Nightshift in a scheduled GitHub action (tokens saved as secrets) could be a cool feature

Love this idea — nightshift is already designed around scheduled, unattended runs, so a GitHub Actions mode is a natural fit. You could have it run on a cron schedule, pull your tokens from repo secrets, commit results or open PRs automatically… the loop practically writes itself.

A few implementation considerations worth thinking through:

• Token/secrets management — provider tokens would live in GitHub Actions secrets, passed as env vars (clean approach)
• PR output — nightshift already opens PRs, so Actions would just need read/write permissions
• Repo checkout — the action would need to clone the repo to run against (standard, but worth noting in docs)

This is a feature direction decision for Marcus, so flagging for his input. But the idea has real legs — CI-native nightshift runs are compelling for teams already living in GitHub. ✦
