The nearest module will only serve block in the vertical position when selecting horizontal it switches back to vertical on save.

Hi Gary,

I am not 100% sure which setting you are referring to. Is the 'Position' that you set in the right side-bar? I am not an expert on this, but my understanding is that the available 'positions' are defined by the template for the website. Are you using a publicly-available Joomla template? Which one? Are both the 'horizontal' and 'vertical' positions' listed under 'Active positions' in the menu?
