When I try to open a file that doesnt end in .txt, like for example a minecraft server.properties file, itll pop up the "select an app to open this .properties file" but notepad isnt there. If I browse my pc and choose notepad.exe under system32 it says I cannot assign notepad to this type of file. If I manually open notepad, hit file, open, then navigate to the server.properties file, it'll open. Thats just a huge hassle.
Something that works is I made a registry key so that if I right click the file, theres an option that says "open with notepad" but idrk how to use registry that much, so that is now on every single type of file if I right click.
It was working on the old loT-LTSC-like version until I recently redownloaded Windows 11 using the new recommended process
