Debian 10:
chmod +x whiteboard-app-0.0.48-x86_64.AppImage to make this executable.
Executing from a filemanager, it simply won't run. In the terminal, checking with "ps aux | grep whiteboard" comes empty.
Executing ./whiteboard-app-0.0.48-x86_64.AppImage in the terminal, it won'r run and prints this error:
"(whiteboard-app:1071181): Pango-ERROR **: 17:49:01.725: Harfbuzz version too old (1.4.2)
