Project Creation Failed' no precise information given in doc

Followed all the steps as per document Auth-Device-code-flow.md.

Still the the same error . In the log file it just mentioned the 2 word "Template Details" . How can someone troubleshoot this. Who is managing this application . Is it MS or some third party. almost for 3 hour troubleshooting this .

There is 2 option of Personal Access Token (PAT) . Tried that as well . which gives same error . and logs doesnt mentioned anything apart from above mentioned 2 words.

And this should be used by a beginner in Azure Devops . How ? . Problem here.

• Documentation is not cleared at all.
• The previous auth via portal which is stopped as per MS on 28th Feb 2025 was better.

MS please come up with concrete solution for this.

I had the same problem. In my case the solution was to fix two following issues:

1. Generate a legal Personal Access Token (PAT) before running the demo generator.
2. Specify the correct Azure DevOps organization name. By mistake I included dev.azure.com/ to the organization name.
   After fixing these two problems I succeeded to use the required template.

@vjackdaw Yes PAT is working now after some update done to code . It was not working 1 week back . Once you enter the PAT token . it was exiting without showing any error . Even the log file has just one word "Template detail" . Now it is working fine . But it is not the most secure way to go . Testing is fine.

Also the device login still has some error but at least it is moving to "https://microsoft.com/devicelogin" . I will mentioned it in new issue or just copy paste it below. At least PAT is working so can move with my exercise in Microsoft learning.

PAT token login is working at the moment . Getting below error while going through the 1st option device login.

After entering the code on "https://microsoft.com/devicelogin" . Getting the below error . After trying some troubleshooting steps still the issue persist . If anyone got the same error and able to resolve it . Do comment below . it may help all who may have the same issue.

log generated under the folder : AzDevOpsDemoGenerator\Log

just have this sentence : "Template Details"

Team. the PR I did was actually working fine with a device login - since PAT is not recommended.
I have tested my PR with the template for Parts Unlimited- which worked successfully.
Please do not forget to create a SP on Azure Entra- and also apply the credentials. as mentioned here:

@TA-2049 The issue has been resolved in the PR #35 and also merged to the main branch. Please check the application again, if any issue exists see to the logs directory and revert back on it. w.r.t to the Auth-Device-code-flow.md, this document has been updated in the PR #38, Please follow this updated document.
