I suggest adding a feature where it's possible to link a passphrase to conversations (whether it's channels or DMs) so that messages can be automatically encrypted (no need for @@@@) when the current conversation matches a known passphrase:conversation link.

For example, this can be an extra field in the 'Manage Passphrases' section.
