Ninscope software problem

Hi, thank you for contribution and share of the Ninscope! We are studying it.
Behaviour camera of Ninscope processing software always show the gray image,even though behaviour camera is a RGB camera . Is it a software bug? Can I change some parameter of the software to see the RGB image? We think the RGB image will be better for the behaviour analysis.
Now we are using processing3.5.4 with Win7 system.

Hi and thank you for your interest! We purposefully set the behavioral camera to capture 8-bit grayscale images with the smallest possible header to reduce the file size. We did this because recording with dual miniscopes + an additional behavioral (RGB) webcam generates a lot of data that needs to be written to disk and we wanted to minimize frame drops. If we offer the option to switch between RGB and grayscale quite some modifications are required to the video library. We’ll consider it, but can not make promises at this time. 8-bit grayscale images can be the option. We'll try it.

Is there a way to trigger LED via a external TTL?
Is the original trigger out or in on v3.2 still work?

Hi Xin Yang,

Trigger In is currently only used to start the acquisition, but not to trigger the LED. Trigger In waits for an active high to trigger acquisition when the trigger input is checked under Trigger Settings in the Settings menu of the NINscope acquisition software.

Trigger Out provides the frames pulses during acquisition, such that the acquired frames of the miniscope can be logged and synchronized with an external device.
