Something Appears on urlbar when opening new page

Might be something to do with the protection shield before the url but I'm not sure

that's the searchmode switcher. it's honestly pretty useless and it breaks on firefox nightly and dev with shimmer. i thought i messed something up on my machine but now i see that this also happens for others. until i figure this out, i can give you some css to remove it entirely if that's fine :3

hi, i'm back. i looked at the css that turns this on and i found out that you can just set "browser.urlbar.scotchBonnet.enableOverride" in config :P
