top level domains

Any thoughts on the various top level domains that people use in nostr? lol, xyz, ninja, social, my ... others?

What about .gm? I'm tempted to use it for various grapevine-related nostr sites because you name it, it's probably available. @manimejia had the idea of using nostr.gm to highlight the grapevine in some fashion. Maybe you go to it and you see the best Good Morning of the day, selected by your grapevine.

Although whether gambia will appreciate someone else using their domains, idk ...

Pretty Good Freedom Technology

self explanatory. "Pretty Good" recalls PGP. "Freedom Tech" is a strong, descriptive umbrella term used by the community for bitcoin, nostr, and lots of other good stuff. Oh, you work in blockchain? Nope, I work in freedom tech! Too boring to be the name of a product, but an apt name for a company.

The name for the premier product of PGFT

brainstorm

I like brainstorm because I suspect the tapestry protocol describes how information is stored (concept graph) and curated (grapevine) in the brain. Plus: your GrapeRank calculation engine is going to be churning away constantly, forever processing new data as it is consumed by your Personal Grapevine Relay, limited only by the processing power you feed into it, a neverending storm.

Tapestry is an umbrella term for the concept graph and the grapevine.

similar to a knowledge graph or a graph database, but its organization is designed to play nice with the grapevine.

This is the name I gave for the desktop app I was building when I was using IPFS, prior to building nostr. No particular meaning to the name. I was more focused on the concept graph at that point but I did build some grapevine stuff into it.

icons, logos

Any comments on the brainstorm icon that I use at brainstorm.ninja? I kinda like it, but there's always room for improvement.

I'm trying to think of an icon for PGFT. Maybe a fist holding a pencil or a pen? Or a hybrid pencil + lightning bolt, to harken zaps, plus to tie it in to the brainstorm logo? If can get a good one, might use it for the PGFT NRD Template.
