Description
Purpose
The Overture Playground will be designed to:
- Introduce users to our software's key features and their benefits.
- Serve as a consistent platform for demonstrations, workshops, and guides.
Features
- A representative sample dataset for a DMS portal that will be accessible via our site
- Hosted on Cumulus, this portal will be open-access and read-only
- DMS installation will have cross-platform support (including ARM64) and optional configurations for Jbrowse integration and mock data population.
DMS Background
The DMS offers turnkey installation, configuration, and deployment of the Overture software. At the sacrifice of scalability, the DMS drastically reduces technical barriers, enabling all researchers to set up their data-sharing portal. The genome browser and visualization tool Jbrowse is packaged natively within the DMS.
Overtures DMS caters to:
- Mid-sized labs (Programs, Institutions and universities) managing thousands of samples (10 to 900 TB) with some IT support.
- Small groups (Labs and Research Departments) handling fewer samples (1 to 9 TB) with minimal technical support.
