Goal

Define and execute the final proof-backed acceptance run for the hardened automation stack.

Scope

The final acceptance run must prove:

• canonical source inventory completed or unavailable sources explicitly marked
• latest failure root cause captured or exact log blocker documented
• workflow topology reconciled
• star-fetch auth behavior deterministic
• fetch-to-sync handoff explicit
• manifest schema validation enforced
• web build/lint validation enforced or lint deferral explicitly tracked
• generated data flow documented
• stale docs/plans repaired or archived
• commit/push/concurrency behavior hardened
• workflow summaries expose proof artifacts

Evidence Rules

• Direct evidence: successful run URL, job logs, commit SHA, generated artifacts, validation output.
• Weak inference: acceptance likely complete if all prerequisite issues have proof but final run is missing.
• Unsupported: claiming bulletproof status without final run evidence.
• Blocked: final run cannot be executed due to permissions, secret state, unavailable logs, or platform outage.

Acceptance Criteria

• Final run URL is posted.
• Final commit SHA is posted.
• Fetch, sync, schema validation, web build, and generated output stages are all proven.
• Any remaining failure mode has a follow-up issue.
• Parent epic Epic 02: Canonical GitHub Stars Automation Hardening #42 is updated with completion evidence.

Proof Required

• Successful Actions run URL.
• Relevant job log excerpts.
• Commit SHA.
• Validation outputs.
• Generated artifact/output proof.
• Follow-up issue links for remaining known risks.

Definition of Done

The repo is not merely patched; it has a proof-backed acceptance trail showing the automation chain works end to end.

02L — Final acceptance run plan

Status: Pending merge. This issue cannot be closed from PR diffs alone — it needs a real 01 → 02 → 03 → (04, 05) run on main after PRs #55 and #56 are merged.

Acceptance procedure (post-merge)

1. Merge order: PR Harden 01-fetch-stars retry against transient 502s; correct stale AGENTS.md #55 first (retry hardening — already passed your assignment review; minimum-change), then PR Epic 02: harden automation pipeline (artifact handoff, hard gates, proof summaries) #56 (artifact handoff, hard gates, summaries, branch gates, Codex/Copilot review fixes).
2. Trigger: workflow_dispatch of 01-Fetch GitHub Stars from main (or wait for the next 03:00 UTC cron).
3. Capture:
   • 01 run URL + commit SHA + artifact name (fetched-stars-<RUN_ID>).
   • 02 run URL + downloaded artifact source confirmation (source: artifact line in summary) + commit SHA after sync.
   • 03 run URL + classified count + commit SHA. If self-dispatched, link the chain.
   • 04 run URL + Pages deployment URL.

• 02D: Make Star-Fetch Authentication Explicit and Fail-Fast #46 destructive simulation: I deliberately did NOT delete STARS_TOKEN to test the missing-token warning, since that would brick scheduled runs for the actual user. The fail-fast + warning behavior is bound to source/diff evidence rather than to a destructive simulation. If you want a positive proof-of-warning run, that needs a coordinated rotate-and-redo.
• ../refs (Blocked): not present in this execution sandbox. Marked Blocked per the epic's evidence rule rather than guessed (02A: Inventory Canonical Sources and ../refs #43).
• Old failed-run logs (Blocked): the GitHub jobs-logs API requires admin scope; my session doesn't have it.
