Android device compatibility (LG D295)

What version of Android does the platform support? LG D295, Android 4.4 - the app is incompatible with your device. P.S. Beta tester from Ukraine is it not a problem?

Karen followed on with a great question:

Is there a way for you to check if it is actually incompatible with this device? I’m wondering if perhaps it is but it’s listed incorrectly in the app store.

information updated in the last week by Google show that less than 20% of devices running operating systems earlier than Android 5.0 https://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/index.html#Platform

Google recommends designing your app to run on 90% of devices which would mean that we "ought" to make the app run on 4.4. But we are such a small beta that I suggest that we simply update the app description to the earliest known Android version that the app will run on? Frmo reading the issues posted here, it seems to be 5.0, so perhaps we can post text in the Play Store:

Compatible back to Android 5.0

once posted, we can close this issue.

Technically we can update to 5.0, but there's still around 13% users who are using versions less than 5.0 and we do not want to exclud them. Maybe we're gonna update as well as keep a version for android 4.4 users

That would be great @bihechen ! Would be amazing to both update and make sure we don't exclude users w/ older systems as low income people are a primary user group. Any chance you can help us with that? :)
