the disk space occupied by the database files in QuestDB become very large

Why does the disk space occupied by the database files in QuestDB become very large during data insertion, but then decrease after the insertion stops? It's similar to how the occupied disk space reduces after *.lock files (or similar temporary/locking files) disappear.
When I map the data files to the /log directory, its disk usage is as follows.Just a small amount of data.

I tried using the server-assigned timestamps, but the disk usage is still extremely high, with each file basically being several hundred megabytes in size.

But this seems to lose some data. It should be 1s intervals, but in the DB it's several - second intervals.
