How compile from source (linux)

Hi,

Sorry by basic question, how I compile the program from the source folder? (figtree-1.4.4.tar.gz).

I tried using 'ant -p', but I don't know what is the next step.

Perhaps you already found out, or maybe not, but with the lack of instructions someone else who is not familiar or new to this might lose some time finding out what to do.

1.Download the source file and extract
2. cd to the directory where you have all the files (probably "figtree/" )
3. Now run the command "ant". Nothing else just wait for the installation to be over. (Run sudo apt install ant if it doesnt work and try again)
4. Now you have new files. One of the new folders is named "dist", go there and open the terminal again.
5. Run "java -jar figtree.jar"
