Fit.Layout stops working on Android

Description

I encountered an issue where Fit.Layout stops working after reset() is called and the animation starts behaving like Fit.Cover:

This issue affects Android, but not iOS.

My team have been encountering an issue with Fit.Layout as well with the new API. Although in our case, the problem is that sometimes the content becomes very small instead of fitting as it should. Another user has reported the same issue we have in this Rive community thread.

Your issue and ours differ slightly, but they both are related to Fit.Layout, so perhaps looking at both issues at the same time will help fixing them together; they could have a common cause. I really hope a fix can be found!

Even after I removed the reset() call, I see issues where adding the same rive animation to different objects results in incorrect animation sizes - but only when using Fit.Layout

This looks fixed in rive-nitro-react-native, but that has other issues...

Oh, I didn't realise this was the legacy repository for the Rive API. We are using the nitro API and it's with that that we have our own Fit.Layout issue.

I found a layout issue with the new SDK too, I'll try to make a minimal repro.

Hi @Nezz , have you been able to make a repro? Would be great to open an issue for this on the nitro repository, it's causing us issues with our users but we haven't got a stable repro ourselves.
