add merge ability when comparing text with clipboard

It is great to compare the selected text with the clipboard.
It would be just perfect to, in the same window, have buttons to merge differences and save into the original file where the text was selected.
See Diff & Merge extension merge ability as an example (that one only allows for comparison of entire files, but does allow merging and has a really comfortable interface to do so)
