After release of summer 22 - overload of AuraEnabled methods are not supported

After the release of Summer 22, I believe the Article controller stop working because we are not allow to overload methods anymore.

No that shouldn’t be the case. We are using the package on learnexperiencecloud.com and it works just fine. I’m not sure what you mean by “overloading” methods here…

I'm seeing the same problem:

Is this happening when you're trying to deploy the code or install the package?

When deploying the code as an unmanaged package. API version 55 and up don't support overloaded @AuraEnabled methods.

ok yeah i just google and saw that in a release note...crazy - I will dig in a bit more and figure out why, and how we resolve this...

So it looks like the only way to resolve this right now is to change your apex controllers version to 54 or older, in the meta.xml file.

That works as a workaround, but the class should be rewritten to be compatible with newer API versions.

There's another problem blocking the rewriting of the class right now. This class sits in a managed package org, and you cannot remove the AuraEnabled annotation from methods in a class that resides in a managed package. So we're kind of stuck right now, until the platform PMs / Engineers figure out how to unblock us. But we are following up internally on this.

In the time being, if you want to have the latest version on this class, feel free to refactor by removing the AuraEnabled annotation from the methods that the component is not using.

That's what I had to do. I removed/refactored the overloaded methods from the controller but I am not sure what the impact is overall.

There shouldn't be any impact...I just had it in there because of the managed package thing...otherwise i wouldn't have overloaded the methods.
