In Motion-mode - panorama faces to inconsistent directions

To reproduce this:

1. Launch example in project
2. Spherical mode
3. Hold the device in landscape mode.
4. Toggle from “Touch” to “Motion” mode.
   1. When facing the device down (below horizon) I see this:
      
   2. When facing up (above horizon line) I see this:
      

Observations:
The problem does not occur in portrait mode.
