Review of notebooks 2 and 3 #3
Description
First, I have to admit than having the cell outputs is good for this review, because as for the first notebook, a lot of cells cannot be executed in binder due to memory issue or not available data paths...
Appart from that:
- Notebook 2: "Decimation is used to reduce the image resolution of a raster by skipping a certain amount of pixels" --> Is decimation skipping pixels or averaging it? How can we know?
- 3: "With odc-geo, we will use the .xr_reproject()" --> not 'dot' reproject right? It is not applied to odc accessor, or can it?
- 3: "a DEM imagery of Sardinia with a wrong CRS" --> is 'wrong' the correct term, isn't it just a different CRS?
- 3: Why is the "wrong" DEM plot not good? Problem of nodata handling?
- 3: Why the plot result with the terrain colormap differs between rioxarray and geoutils? I see that the colormap with scale mapping is not the same, but why?
