US Politics Study - Part 1
In this project we will explore how SNA can be used to identify the relationships between campaign contributions, membership of influential committees, lobbyist actions, etc. on voting behavior (both Congress and Senate) and federal and state contract awards.
- Explore publicly available datasets of campaign contributions, votes and contract awards
- Set up relational database to hold data going back to 2010. Perform required data cleansing and add table keys
- Set up graph database
- Perform initial analysis to identify correlations between contributions, votes and contract awards
