Sorting notifications

I noticed that the newer notifications are putting under the previous. It is not right because I need to give attention to the top of notification list. May it be changed?

I don't think as an app developer I have control over this. The OS decides how to present the notifications, the app just sends them.
However, if anyone can suggest a solution, with code examples, I can try it.
