Backport JSON driver empty array/object assertion fix to 4.x branch #233
Description
It would be great to get a backport the fix for #179 to the 4.x branch if possible. We're currently blocked from upgrading to 5.x since we're stuck on PHPUnit 9.6.x for the time being due to other deps we can't quite update yet, and so we've had to resort to manually applying the patch for the #179 issue to our 4.x version of this lib. If it would be possible to backport the commit to that version, that would be great and would save us a ton of headaches in managing tooling to manually apply the patch!
