Fix Request/Reply with ConsumerRecord<?, ?>

Message conversion is bypassed when consuming the raw `ConsumerRecord`.
However, the request message is needed when returning a result (for
reply topic determination, correlation, etc).

**I will do the backports; I expect conflicts in the test.**
