Adding max_dimension argument to cubical function

Would it be possible to add a max_dimension component to the cubical argument? Not computationally necessary in higher dimensions to calculate all these higher dimensional homological features.

@manilasoldier great question. We provide only a light wrapper around the C++ libraries, so (for now) we depend on them to provide parameterized options. CubicalRipser proper does not provide these options, while @shizuo-kaji provides them only in a fork of CubicalRipser_3dim.

I personally don't have the bandwidth or possibly even the expertise to introduce these features, and in any case it would be much better for them to be introduced at the source and then mirrored here. If i can be of help with this, i will. I'd suggest raising an issue on one of the CubicalRipser repos or emailing the authors.

That said, in the meantime, if you or others decide to introduce them in a fork, then i would be glad to merge them in! I'll ask around my own circles about this.

Just to let you know, the original CubicalRipser repository is no longer maintained. I have officially taken over development from the original authors, and ongoing work is now based on my fork:

This fork includes additional functionality, including the options mentioned above. It would therefore be preferable to use this repository as the basis for the wrapper going forward.
