There are many problems with openssl 3.
I suggest to write a note when visiting it that says it's abadoned. Spend 3 hours debugging the error error:0308010C:digital envelope routines::unsupported

We have created a fork of this package and recently released our first version. This package is unmaintained, and we are currently talking to the maintainer about the possibility of marking it as abandoned, and thus linking our package.

Related to your OpenSSL Error, this has to do with modern PHP versions using OpenSSL 3.0 and the Apple p12 certificate that has been created using an older version of OpenSSL.
