Yes, I'm able to connect with studio. I am using, ruby 2.3, rails 5 and docker-compose 3

This is my Dockerfile:

Try to use 0.0.0.0 instead of localhost.

Hi @ThomasKoppensteiner, already try using 0.0.0.0 and I got the same error.

@lepepe sorry I didn't see before, that your rails app is also running in a docker container. In this case, my comment and localhost doesn't make sense.
You need to use the IP-Address of the OrientDB-Container. Please read about Networks in Docker to find a fitting solution for your case.

using container DNS or IP doesn't help (and prints out "localhost" which makes it even more confusing)

@lepepe as a possible workaround - might look into: network_mode: host for all of your containers - details
"networks" does not seem to work

the smpt config, its only on dev. Must be in Prod too.

so i put smtp config on "config/environments/production.rb"

works for me.
