Description
The current styling of the Ctrl + K shortcut inside the search bar feels a bit too visually prominent.
At first glance, the shortcut keys look like clickable buttons rather than keyboard hints, which can be slightly confusing for new users. The contrast also draws more attention to the shortcut than the actual search input, making the search bar feel a bit distracting in both dark and light themes.
Attached screenshots for both dark and light themes below.
Current behavior
- Shortcut keys appear button-like
- Visual emphasis is stronger than necessary
- Attention gets pulled away from the search input itself
Possible improvement
- Reduce the visual emphasis of the shortcut keys
- Make them feel more like passive keyboard indicators
- Use slightly lower contrast / flatter styling while keeping them discoverable

I’d be happy to work on this and open a PR for it.
