Can't dump live DB using same username and password as in WordPress

I've setup the task to use the same database username and password as in `wp-config.php` but I keep encountering the same error 1045 in the SQL dump: "Access denied for user `'username'@'xxx.xxx.xxx.xx'` (using password: YES) when trying to connect"
