@ErikBjare is this the right direction? What do you think?

Can also be later extended to update the modules...

I think essential/core modules should be bundled, but it's a really interesting idea to do updated or to install extra stuff this way.

Hey @0xbrayo — checking in on this one! It's been a while since the last activity. Are you still planning to continue this, or should it be closed for now?

A few notes if you do want to pick it back up:

  • There are merge conflicts that need resolving before this can move forward
  • Erik's earlier feedback suggested core modules should be bundled (not downloaded), but downloading optional/extra modules and updates could be interesting. Worth scoping the PR to match that direction.

No rush — just want to keep the PR list clean. Let us know if you'd like help with the rebase!

Hmm this would have been helpfull if this was merged inside of master, messed something up with the merging of master into your branch will look into this later...

Just got a quick question, are you using macOS?
If yes do you still need rosetta?
If no will rosetta stil be a requirement with aw-tauri?

Yes I am using macos, no rosetta is not required for aw-tauri to build or run on macos. The PR is still a draft and will probably not be merged, might end up going a different direction
