A natural addition to x and y rotate is z rotate, which allows the grid to be rotated around the axis of rotation with four equatorial panels remaining centered on the equator and the center of the polar panels remaining perpendicular to the axis of rotation. This is useful for equatorial refinements where the area of interest is relatively small but spans two panels.
