Kasa Plug and switch Operations:

Below is the page for the simple plug and switch without Energy Monitor functions. This discussion also includes the dimming switch. For the dimming switch, the command tile "Set Level" and the current state "level" are added. Kasa Plug and Switch Device Page

Command Notes:

  • SetPollFreq: Allows user to set a fast polling frequency in seconds. "0" turns off fast polling, A value less than 5 is converted to 5.
    • Intended use: For use in Rule machine. It is recommended to turn off when not in use.
    • Note: Fast polling has high impact on Server operations and may be the cause of perceived server slowdowns. Investigate this by disabling fast polling and re-evalutating the hub.

Preferences Notes

  • Device IP: This tile appears only when device is installed manually.
  • For multiPlug, the number of the plug: (multi-plugs) This tile appears only when device is installed manually.
  • Enable debug Logging: Enables debug-level logging for 30 minutes.
