The "Show legend" sample was designed to use the toolkit "Legend" component to show a map legend. We do not yet have the Legend toolkit component, so we are using a DropdownMenu as a temporary substitute. One problem with that is you can tap on a menu entry, which changes the value. To prevent that, we can set enabled: false on all the menu entries. Unfortunately that causes the menu entries to have a "disabled" look. To fix that, we can directly set the TextStyles to give them a standard "enabled" look.

Ultimately I think what's useful to developers here is that they can see how to get the symbology, and would probably implement a legend in a way more integral to their app anyway. The change makes sense for what the sample is trying to convey.
